“For you have been given not only the privilege of trusting in Christ, but also the privilege of suffering for him. We are in this struggle together. You have seen my struggle in the past, and you know that I am still in the midst of it.” Philippians 1:29
This will be a designated time to recognize the daily challenges of millions of adults and children who live with a physical disability or an invisible illness. Through acknowledging that, despite how ‘well’ they look, they live with the ups and downs of chronic condition, we are here to encourage and offer compassion. We also want to educate those who do not live with illness on how to reach out to those with health difficulties, what to say and not to say, how to encourage and what practical needs can be met.
