World Day of Prayer 2012

World Day of Prayer
Let Justice Prevail
March 2, 2012

First Presbyterian Church
2344 Center Street
Bethlehem

World Day of Prayer is a worldwide ecumenical movement of Christian women of many traditions who come together to observe a common day of prayer each year.  Each year a different country serves as the writer of the World Day of Prayer worship service.  For 2012, the World Day of Prayer Committee of Malaysia developed the theme “Let justice prevail!”

All (men and women) are invited to pray and receive prayer!  Please join us on March 2, 2012 as we unite together in one heart and one accord to pray for the injustice that is happening in Malaysia and for the injustice that is happening right here in our own backyard.

How can you be a part of this powerful time of prayer?

1.         Sign up to pray at the church between the hours of 7 AM-7 PM.  We are looking for individuals to commit to a one hour time frame.  Please email info@truthforwomen.org or call 610.866.5755 to designate your specific time frame.

2.         Come to the special prayer service at 6:30 PM as we unite together as one to pray for justice to prevail.

3.         If you are in need of prayer, please email your prayer request to info@truthforwomen.org and prayer warriors will be praying on your behalf throughout the day.

4.         If you need personal, one on one prayer, please come to the church between 5:30 – 6:30 PM for an intimate time of prayer.

We look forward to you joining us on this special day of prayer as we seek the heart of God and intercede for those who feel they have no voice or no hope.

The Power of a Whisper

The Truth for Women Center is offering a four-week series on The Power of a Whisper – Hearing God. Having the Guts to Respond.

Join bestselling author and pastor Bill Hybels in this four-week session video-based study during which our group will learn to direct our everyday steps according to “whispers” from God.

You will learn how to discern the “voice” of God from the other voices that vie for your attention, how to invite his input into your daily routine, how to “practice” his presence and how to allow heaven-sent input to direct your life toward making a kingdom-oriented difference in this world.

Four week Bible Study will begin on Thursday, March 8th at 7:00-8:00 pm

Located at Truth for Women’s Center, Suite 110.

Cost: $20 (includes Participant’s Guide)

Facilitator: Tammy Gehman

 Synopsis of Series:

In The Power of a Whisper, vision is cast for what life can look like when God’s followers choose to hear from heaven as they navigate life on earth. Whispers that arbitrate key decisions, nudges that rescue from dark nights of the soul, promptings that spur on growth, urgings that come by way of another person, inspiration that opens once-glazed-over eyes to the terrible plight people face in this world. Author Bill Hybels promotes passion in Christ-followers’ hearts for being wide open to hearing from God, and for getting gutsier about doing exactly what He says to do.
